And so I accompanied Padma into town to visit the local Men's Shed to catch up with all the local gossip while Padma went to nearby Maranatha Lodge, a retirement village, where a 97-year-old lady-friend is patiently waiting for the Queen's telegram.
Alas, there was nobody to shed any light on the local goings-on as the shed is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Shortage of gossip?
