Varnishing the floor upstairs and painting the ceiling downstairs. Then waiting for the paint to dry. Then starting all over again on the second coat tomorrow.
I just hope it won't rain as all the beautiful Persian carpets and the Moran sofa and chairs are stored on the outside balcony. They are wrapped under big blue tarpaulins which won't be much protection if we get another hundred millimetres of rain.
The label on the tin the floor varnish came in reads, "Protect the coating for 14 days against heavy foot traffic and moving chairs".
Somehow, I don't think I'm going to let the furniture sit on the balcony for the next two weeks.
