The Sword of the Prophet

Sword of the Prophet doesn't sugarcoat the problem. Indeed, it declares itself as "The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam", and identifies the rise of Islamic fundamentalism as the greatest danger to our values since the end of the Cold War.

The author, Serge Trifković, sees the source of this threat in the absence of separation of church and state under Islam - because Islam is a way of life, Muslims are required to subordinate themselves to the teachings of Allah and live as members of the total Islamic community, calling into question their ability to give their political loyalty to a non-Muslim state. Trifković considers this to be a particularly important issue for the countries of Western Europe, with a population of over 50 million Muslims, and the United States (approx. 3.3 mill).

Neglect to read it at your own peril. As the author concludes, "Islam is a collective psychosis seeking to become global, and any attempt to compromise with such madness is to become part of the madness oneself. No one who believes that jihad is the right or duty of all Muslims, or who promotes adoption of Shari'a law or reestablishment of the caliphate, should be allowed to settle in any Western country, and every applicant should be asked. The passport of anyone preaching jihad should be revoked. This may be called discrimination but the quarrel is not of our choosing ... Secularists and believers of all other faiths must act together before it is too late."

The book's 300 pages are well researched and cross-referenced with plenty of footnotes but I concede that it's not easy reading, so for those of you who are more into "Home and Away" and "Neighbours", here's a documentary along similar lines:

"Islam: What the West Needs to Know" is a 2006 documentary film produced by Quixotic Media. The film is an examination of Islam and its violence towards non-Muslims. It features discussions using passages from religious texts and includes commentaries by Robert Spencer, Serge Trifkovic, Bat Ye'or, Abdullah Al-Araby, and Walid Shoebat. A review by The Charlotte Observer, which does not accept or reject the film's thesis, is summarised on the back cover of the video wrapping with the phrase, "...if their central thesis is true – and it's worth considering – then this is the most horrific film of the 21st century so far."

Ever wondered what’s behind global Banking?

Very tellingly, he reads Aldous Huxley's dystopian 'Brave New World'

Hello, my name is Montague William 3rd
And what I will tell you may well sound absurd
But the less who believe it the better for me
For you see I'm in Banking and big industry

For many a year we have controlled your lives
While you all just struggle and suffer in strife
We created the things that you don't really need
Your sports cars and Fashions and Plasma TV's

I remember it clearly how all this begun
Family secrets from Father to Son
Inherited knowledge that gives me the edge
While you peasants, people lie sleeping at night in your beds

We control the money that controls your lives
Whilst you worship false idols and wouldn't think twice
Of selling your souls for a place in the sun
These things that won't matter when your time is done

But as long as they're there to control the masses
I just sit back and consider my assets
Safe in the knowledge that I have it all
While you common people are losing your jobs

You see I just hold you in utter contempt
But the smile on my face well it makes me exempt
For I have the weapon of global TV
Which gives us connection and invites empathy

You would really believe that we look out for you
While we Bankers and Brokers are only a few
But if you saw that then you'd take back the power
Hence daily terrors to make you all cower

The Panics the crashes the wars and the illness
That keep you from finding your Spiritual Wholeness
We rig the game and we buy out both sides
To keep you enslaved in your pitiful lives

So go out and work as your body clock fades
And when it's all over a few years from the grave
You'll look back on all this and just then you'll see
That your life was nothing, a mere fantasy

There are very few things that we don't now control
To have Lawyers and Police Force was always a goal
Doing our bidding as you march on the street
But they never realise they're only just sheep

For real power resides in the hands of a few
You voted for parties what more could you do
But what you don't know is they're one and the same
Old Gordon has passed good old David the reigns

And you'll follow the leader who was put there by you
But your blood it runs red while our blood runs blue
But you simply don't see it's all part of the game
Another distraction like money and fame

Get ready for wars in the name of the free
Vaccinations for illness that will never be
The assault on your children's impressionable minds
And a micro-chipped world, you'll put up no fight

Information suppression will keep you in toe
Depopulation of peasants was always our goal
But eugenics was not what we hoped it would be
Oh yes it was us that funded Nazis!

But as long as we own all the media too
What's really happening does not concern you
So just go on watching your plasma TV
And the world will be run by the ones you can't see

The Sovereign State of Forvik

Stuart Alan Hill, born 1943, aka "Captain Calamity" after his failed attempt to single-handedly circumnavigate Britain in a tiny rowing boat with a sail cannibalised from a windsurfer, is what in the good ol' days before personal computers and political correctness we might have called a "shit-stirrer" - more here.

He's still in full flight on the tiny one-hectare island of Forewick Holm which he acquired under controversial circumstances - see here - , renamed Forvick and turned into the Sovereign State of Forvik which currently has 218 citizens — who pay an annual membership fee of £20 each — from as far afield as the Philippines, Thailand, and Russia.

I first heard about the Sovereign State of Forvik when I watched Martin Clunes' "Islands of Britain" in 2010:

At the time, Stuart Hill was still very much in the news but since then things have quietened down a bit and, considering that his tiny island which is closer to Norway than to mainland Scotland is on the same latitude as St. Petersburg and Anchorage (see Google Map), he's not even spending all his time there now.

As he says, "Plenty of wind and rain! We sometimes get some really good sunny spells, but one Shetland saying is ‘If you don’t like the weather, just wait 15 minutes!’"

I like nutters like him! They make the world a more interesting place - after all, aren't there times when we all wished we could secede from the rest of the world? (well, as long as there's a place nearby that sells Cherry Ripe ☺)

P.S. Here's a handy Instruction Manual on how to start your own micro-nation.

'Humanity is the disease, Inferno is the cure'

"We're a minute to midnight!"

There’s a switch”, says Ben Foster, who plays the villain Bertrand Zobrist in the film "Inferno". “If you throw it, half the people on Earth will die. But if you don’t, in one-hundred years the human race will be extinct.”

Last year Padma bought me the book "Inferno" - no, not Dante's but Dan Brown's - which deals with the one big problem of our time which cannot be solved through solar power, recycling, and hybrid cars.

Lack of clean water, rising global temperatures, ozone depletion, rapidly dwindling ocean resources, species extinction, deforestation, CO2 concentration, and rising global sea levels is all caused by one single problem: global population - or rather, the dreaded o-word: over-population! - because if you want more clean water per capita, you need fewer people on earth; if you want to decrease vehicle emissions, you need fewer drivers; and if you want the oceans to replenish their fish, you need fewer people eating fish!

Like Dan Brown's "Da Vinci Code" and "Angels & Demons", his book "Inferno" has also been made into a movie, and Padma's just bought the DVD which turns Dante’s prophecy of seven hundred years ago into today's spine-chilling reality.

"They'll think of something", I hear you say, "there's always a solution!" because that's what the world's politicians, environmentalists, and power brokers want you to believe while privately they put their heads in their hands and weep.

Of course, one hundred years is a long time for us to keep ignoring the dreaded o-word, especially if you and I have already used up most of ours. Why do I feel so much better for knowing that I'm on my way out and not on my way in?

Poor Fellow My Country

Last weekend's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras saw 120 gay and lesbian Australian Army personnel march - mince? - their way down Sydney's Oxford Street wearing their latest 'campaign badge': a rainbow-coloured Army Pride lapel pin.

Muslim students at the Hurstville Boys Campus of Georges River College can refuse to shake hands with women because Muslim teaching states that 'It is better to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle than to touch the hand of a woman' (may I try it out on them, please?)

In a politically correct gesture, pedestrian traffic lights depicting female figures have been installed in Melbourne's CBD "to demonstrate that in fact 50 per cent of our population is female and should therefore also be represented at traffic lights". We may be stuck in traffic jams for ever, but at least now we can look up some skirts.

And two of the Joint Strike Fighter planes, worth around $100 million each, which were flown out from the United States for the Avalon Air Show, couldn't depart again as they are unable to fly in bad weather. Australia has already ordered 72 (with another 28 yet to be decided).

I hope the sun shines when next we go to war although I wonder if we'll still be a country worth fighting for.
