It's been a busy week socially, not for me but for Padma who went with a lady-friend to see DOWNTOWN ABBEY at the local cinema. They both cried because Maggie Smith died - well, in the movie!
Today Padma got her driver's licence renewed. They gave her a 50% discount for "fine" - or should that be "fine-FREE"? - driving. Part of the discount she spent on lunch at the local Chinese with her crying friend.
Yesterday's lunch with our local friends Heimo and Lorraine went without tears. Being so close to the river, we served a Chinese steamboat - I think the non-nautical term is shabu-shabu - after which we talked and talked and drank and then talked and drank some more.
Today I am left at home eating left-overs. And that's it for the week!
