Bunt sind schon die Wälder is a traditional German folk song that lyricises the beauty of autumn: the red leaves of trees, the yellow harvested fields, the rich purple of grapes that gleam in the sunlight, the red and white stripes of peaches, the cheerful harvest dances performed during the day and, at dusk, the sounds of violin and flute under the calm of a moonlit night.
