A quick dash into town

Our Cottage guests, a very nice couple from Kingston, Ontario in Canada, had problems with the hydraulics on their boat's outboard motor.

We made a quick dash into town, pulled up outside the local marine mechanic's workshop, pressed the button on the hydraulics to show him, "Look, it won't lift" --- but it did! Must've been all that bumping and shaking along the highway that shook loose whatever it was that was stuck before.

Anyway, it gave me time to take the above picture of a picture that is worth a thousand words and to buy tickets for the Troy Cassar Daley concert on the 23rd of March at the local Soldiers Club.

Later in the day, I quite accidentally found an internet link to an accounting colleague who worked for a competing oil exploration company in Burma when I was chief accountant for the Frenchies at TOTAL in Rangoon.

I immediately called him up but, as in a previous encounter, met with even less than a lukewarm reception. What is it that accountants don't like about me? Am I that unbalanced? It just doesn't add up! ☺
