A 44-year-old man from the Northern Territory bought some $3,500 worth of groceries and other goods at various Woolworths stores in Canberra who accepted his fake Royal Bank of Australia vouchers - click here.
He was arrested at a hotel in Queanbeyan - which he had paid for with "real money". He must've come down from the Territory wearing nothing more than stubbies and thongs because he appeared in court barefooted after the police had seized the stolen shoes and socks he was wearing.
I've just discovered I still have some old German Reichsmarks, so I'm off to Canberra for a bit of a shopping. See you in court!
