The only things bi- and trans- at "Riverbend" are my bifocals and my trusty transistor, and when we're with our thrice-divorced marriage counsellor - just kidding; she's only divorced twice! - we still use gender-specific personal pronouns when throwing our insults at each other.
Douglas Murray's latest gem, "The Madness of Crowds", is a brilliant antidote to our hysterical times. It was simply unputdownable, not only due to how the topics were chosen and addressed, but also to Murray's writing skills and his fine sarcasm. For instance, I liked his description of a trans-woman who, with her/his - ahem, their! - penis still intact, ended up in a women's prison here she/he raped several inmates.
And what about women's wrestling where the objective is very clear: 'Beat the shit out of the other person in front of you.' A male wrestler, with all the male differences in the shape of the hips, the size of the shoulders, the density of the bones, the size of the fists, had his penis removed and beat the shit out of the women in front of her/him.
Murray's latest book is beyond brilliant and should be read, must be read, by everyone. How can you not know about "The Madness of Crowds"? Read it before talking about new lavatory arrangements.
