It turns out that Canberra’s top bureaucrats are the best-paid in the world. For reasons beyond mortal reckoning, our top public servants are apparently worth more than double and triple their US and UK counterparts. That's what's called a Banana Republic!
Maybe it’s time hard questions were being asked about the value taxpayers get from the public service, particularly the mandarin class.
