Today's quote:

Monday, July 16, 2012

"The time has come," the Walrus said ...

To talk of many things: Of shoes—and ships—and sealing-wax—Of cabbages—and kings—And why the sea is boiling hot—And whether pigs have wings."

And so I accompanied Padma into town to visit the local Men's Shed to catch up with all the local gossip while Padma went to nearby Maranatha Lodge, a retirement village, where a 97-year-old lady-friend is patiently waiting for the Queen's telegram.

Alas, there was nobody to shed any light on the local goings-on as the shed is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only. Shortage of gossip?
