It's time to look like a dork and sing in a falsetto voice 'Sadie the Cleaning Lady' as we prepare Riverbend Cottage for our new guests Kath and Phil who've been regulars for many years.
Our earlier guests, Catherine and Graham, left this morning after a week of swimming, canoeing, fishing and picking oysters. We spent our last night together at the Catalina Country Club for a barramundi dinner and to watch the comedian Jimeon (Jimeon WHAT?!).
His best joke came at the end when, after barely an hour's worth of so-so jokes, he walked off the stage with a 'That's all, folks' wave. The whole audience remained seated, expecting him to reappear. After all, we all had paid $39 admission and thought we get a bit more than a few smart-alecky remarks interspersed by a few chords strummed on an electric guitar.
However, he had the last laugh as he never returned!
