Thanks to my favourite broadcaster, ABC Radio National, and its program "The Book Show", I've just been made aware of yet another book by one of my favourite writers, Julian Barnes.
Not having read the book yet, I can't tell you anything about it except that it sounds very promising; promising enough for me to part with $24.35 when I placed my online order with Angus & Robertson.
Anyway, it's a rather dull and overcast day outside; I've fed the ducks and served the resident possum his breakfast in bed, had my porridge and a cup of hot tea liberally sweetened with a big spoonful of honey, and I'm now sitting by the blazing fire while I listen to Julian Barnes as he talks about Elizabeth Finch, the novel’s eponymous subject:
Happy listening!
