I would like to return this photo to these people

After today's visit to the warm-water pool and before I had a very satisfying lunch of bangers and mash washed down with what is these days a very rare beer at the Soldiers Club, I popped into the Salvation Army's op-shop for a quick look at their pre-loved book section.

"We've had some more cooking books come in. Maybe you'll be lucky and find that mushroom cooking book that Padma has been looking for", the little old lady at the front counter quipped. Some luck! However, I was lucky to find the large coffee table book "Why We are Australian. 125 Defining Men, Women and Moments Over Three Centuries" in almost mint condition, except for an imprint that indicates that Enid & Gordon Fearnside of 7 Ted Hunt Terrace in Moruya had been its previous owners.

Halfway through the book, seemingly as a bookmark, I discovered the above A4-sized photograph which may be of significance to some of the five people depicted in it. Please contact me so that I can return it to you. In the meantime, it's my bookmark between the pages 300 and 301 which are devoted to Chloe at Melbourne's Young & Jackson Hotel.

I know that a certain person in Cairns, who never fails to visit Chloe whenever he visits Melbourne, has just sat up, and for his benefit and all the others who have never had the pleasure of feasting their eyes on lovely Chloe, I shall devote an entire post to her over the long weekend.

"What long weekend?" I hear you ask. Yes, this coming Monday is Queen's - ahem! - King's Birthday when Canberra's public servants descend like lemmings on the coast. It's a good time to stay home to avoid the crush.
