All aboard for Europe

Would the last one aboard please ring up 'Frau Merkel' to book the trains? We don't want them to be late!

Actually, this was the ship Vlora which departed Albania in 1991 with a human cargo of some 20,000 and docked in the Italian port of Bari. 20,000 ? This year Germany alone expects to receive 800,000 with some suggesting that this estimate will be far exceeded.

I wonder why? Is it because EACH refugee receives on arrival, on top of free food, housing, clothing, medical aid, etc. etc., a monthly pocket-money of €143, paid - with typical German efficiency - several months in advance?
