Anyway, here's one economist's summing-up of the year just past and his vision of the future. You will notice that he even used decimal points in his forecast. That's just to show that he also has a sense of humour.
My own summing up? It was a bloody awful year! And my own forecast? It will get bloody awfuller yet! And it's too late to do anything about it!
As for BHP shares, Goldman Sachs savagely revised their future earnings, and reduced the 12-month target price from $49.40 down to $42.90.
