Australia welcomes boat people

With a population of just 6,000 and a proud history of being the first sugar town to stop using slave labour, Australia is happy to put out the welcome mat.

So, instead of heading south from the Indonesian archipelago, take a sharp turn to the right, go round the Cape of Good Hope, then drift leisurely west-north-west across the Atlantic. You know you've come to the right place when the smoke from expensive cigars reaches your nostrils.

Bon voyage!
