Rainy day? It's absolutely bucketing! The Moruya Country Markets page laconically reads, "Markets are on however due to weather not many stalls", to which someone has added, "John the flower man is there". Of course, flowers like rain.
So instead of going for a drive, we stayed home. I checked my email. Oh, look, an email from myGov: my tax refund has been approved!
Funny! Why should my employer approve it? And I hadn't even lodged my return yet! Thanks, Josep of viloca.com, but try a bit harder next time!
Moving on, I find that someone up the highway who's been trying to sell his property for almost as long as I have been trying to sell "Riverbend", received an offer. It's a beautiful property and a bargain at $1.5 million.
He's said to be a German or Austrian, and I've been meaning to go and introduce myself to him. Perhaps it's too late now to make a new friend but perhaps not too late yet to ask him if he would sell me his sign.
Padma is cooking some chicken ginger soup which should keep me warm on this cold and rainy night. I won't be going anywhere until next Tuesday when the new MG3 is due for its still-under-warranty six-monthly service which is how they make their money: they sell you a cheap car and then get you in every six months for a $300-service which, if you skip it, may void your warranty. I've hardly done 2000km!
I leave you with a tour of the inside of the house now under offer, "built by the current owner in 2001". It looks very German (or Austrian), doesn't it? I may still go and ask if he's looking for offers on the sign.
