Through a burka darkly?

I don't want to give away how I spend those long winter nights but doesn't this look like a cross stitch pattern? It is in fact the view from one of Riverbend's fly-screened bedroom windows at the beginning of another sunny and very warm summer's day.

Too warm, in fact, to do any work, so Rover and I retired to the shady verandah for a bit of bonding ...

... when I heard low murmuring from a fishing dinghy drifting by.

Despite having four rods dangling in the water, they'd caught nothing all morning ... until I chucked them four ice creams.
