(No prize guessing where I am in the photo!!!)

An old school photo taken in 1960 ! It was the occasion of our last day at primary school - the so-called "Volksschule Heinrichstraße" - for which we had exchanged our obligatory 'Lederhosen' for an uncomfortable suit and tie.

It was sent to me by a former classmate who found me on the internet through www.stayfriends.de.

What a great surprise as I had never seen this picture. Now I have - 52 years later!

Thank you, Joachim Stut!

(You won't find me in this photo taken on an
excursion to the River Rhine in 1959; there
was no money in my family for such luxuries.
We were so poor, four of us slept in the one bed.
When it got cold, mother threw on another child.)
