The warmer weather is bringing with it new life - and a prospective buyer who made us an offer which we found easy to resist. He accepted our asking price of $2million but wanted us to sign a 12-month "holding" contract.
In those twelve months he would carry out due diligence - lovely weasel words! - and if at the end he decided not to buy, his 5% deposit would be returned to him, no questions asked. It really amounted to taking the property off the market for a whole year.
Not surprisingly, we declined his generous offer!
