They say that a wholesome oblivion of one's neighbours is the beginning of wisdom. There is no need for such wisdom at "Riverbend" where the only neighbour is an occasional houseboat moored in the river.
Of course, I do have some neighbours who live, Ernest-Hemingway-like, 'across the river and into the trees'. I only become aware of them when I connect to my internet because, unlike good neighbours', their wifis are all password-protected ☺
No wonder the houseboats always drop anchor off "Riverbend"!
