He was a bold man that first ate an oyster

Oyster Unplugged - Clyde River from AUGUSTINC on Vimeo.

Jonathan Swift never knew who that bold man was but scientists exploring a cave in a rocky bluff by the ocean at Pinnacle Point in South Africa have reported evidence of shellfish dinners enjoyed by humans who lived 164,000 years ago.

It's unclear whether they also found empty bottles of chardonnay which seems to be the drink favoured by local oyster fanciers who get their supplies from the local Ralston Brothers' Clyde River oyster farm.
