My final commentary on the week that was

While the Poms have been busy rewriting the European anthem, back here in Australia the Liberals are about to crawl across the line to form government for another three disastrous years. Reminds you of Henry Kissinger's comments on the Iran-Iraq war, "It's a pity both sides can't lose", doesn't it?

Perhaps they should've ask former Prime Minister Tony Abbott to hand out 'How to vote' cards wearing his budgie smugglers now that thanks to him this affectionate term has been included in the Oxford Dictionary.

Meantime, while the world is fighting terrorism, starvation and disease, the American Democrats are fighting for men to pee in the ladies' room.

It's a funny old world we live in.
