What's all this coffee craze that has overcome Australia? In one city I recently visited again - I won't name its name but it rhymes with 'kidney' - it almost seems mandatory to hold a coffee in your hand before you're even allowed onto the street.
All our economic energies seem to be funnelled into the making and drinking of coffee. In the Bay there are essentially two types of shops: empty shops and coffee shops. Some of the empty shops are in the process of being converted into coffee shops, and many of the coffee shops, judging by the number of patrons, look like they'll soon be empty shops again. To all you copycats: there are simply too many of you!
Generally I try not to give advice to those who complain they can't save the deposit on a house - least of all to those of an IQ below emergency-room temperature - but here it is for all it's worth: drink fewer coffees!
