One-hundred-and-fifty metres away in cosy "Melbourne", and a million miles from care

We all have watched and come to love the movie "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel", starring Dev Patel, Maggie Smith, Judy Dench, and Bill NIghy, but who has actually read the book of the same name by Deborah Moggach?

I read it this weekend, one-hundred-and-fifty metres away in cosy "Melbourne", and a million miles away from care, and without feeling guilty for even a moment for reading frivolous fiction instead of some educational non-fiction. And, having finished it all in one afternoon, I discovered that Deborah Moggach has written seventeen similar books, with perhaps the most similar one of all being "Heartbreak Hotel".

I started to "test-drive" it on archive.org before placing an order on ebay, but by page 10, despite preferring the tactile experience of holding the book in my hand and turning its pages and smelling the paper and ink, I was so smitten by its main character Buffy that I had to continue reading it to its funny end - but I will still order it on ebay.
