Town water is coming to Nelligen! Council will bring it as far as the fence, after which it is up to each property owner to have the pipe laid and connected to the house. In the case of "Riverbend" that's a hefty eighty metres and I thought I get a few early quotes before the rush starts.

The first plumber I called gave me an off-the-cuff price of $6,000. Since I didn't blink nor cry "Ouch!", he quickly correctly himself: "Sorry, I forgot the material. That'll be another $1,500, or a total of$7,500!"
The next quote was far more reasonable - or should that be realistic? - but none as good as Shane's from Elite Plumbing and Gas Solutions: a total of $2,735.00, including $450.00 for the material, pex-pipe, which is even better and longer-lasting than the commonly quoted Blue Line.
Of course, I shall spread the word: Elite by name, elite by nature!
