I had meant to post something about Barry Humphries AC CBE when I heard of his death on 22 April 2023 at the age of 89. At the time I once more got so carried away watching some of his old routines that in the end I had totally forgotten to click on the POST button.
A year later - and prompted by an email from a friend in Cooktown - here's a recording from DAME EDNA EVERAGE LIVE IN MELBOURNE, recorded at the State Theatre Victorian Arts Centre on 15 August 2003:

Those were the golden days when one could still become a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire for smutty humour before political correctness put an end to it. A true Australian legend!
