Old age is my alarm clock

Why do old men wake so early? Is it to have one longer day? But it's worth every extra minute when the day is as beautiful and peaceful as this. Bach on Classic FM and Hemingway's short "The Old Man and the Sea" which I can finish before the sun gets too hot.

It'll be time to go back inside when it's time for a cup of hot chai and pikelets smothered in jam or when the lunchtime tourist boat passes, whichever comes first. Even the fishermen seem to be affected by this special moment as they glide past on the outgoing tide with their noisy outboards turned off. Not that all of them are bent on catching a fish. Some just want to catch their breath after a hectic week in the big city.

Ten years from now you'd give anything to be this exact age, exactly this healthy, and back in this exact moment. Now take a second to enjoy it.

Hemingway's writing and Spencer Tracy's acting: what a great way to start a day! And the pikelets smothered in jam have also just arrived!
