We've had a coolish morning which made it a perfect day for breakfast in bed. Then we ran into town and into an old friend, and suddenly we found ourselves having yet another lunch at our favourite Thai restaurant.
Then more shopping and, for me at least, more book-browsing. Found this sequel to "Casablanca"; also Tom Keneally's "Searching for Schindler" and "The Bone Man of Kokoda" by Charles Happell for two dollars each.
Compare that to the fourteen dollars I lashed out on ebay for the slim volume of "Ruined by Reading" which also arrived by mail today. When we got home, we found a message on the answering machine inviting us for Sunday afternoon coffee and cake with neighbours up the lane.
When will I ever get enough time to read all those books?
